May kit

Here's my work with the May kit from Scrap-Club. Thanks for looking!!

For this layout: Can I have more moments like these please, I added a Heidi Swapp ghost clock and an accent thicker. I made the little letter stickers myself using my dymo labelwriter. The letters from the kit are painted white. You can paint them easily and still see some of the glitter which gives a nice effect.
The journaling is about them being brothers but not friends lately.
Tim and Thomas. Brothers. Sometimes friends. Lately they tease and challenge each other a lot and to be honest: sometimes they drive me crazy. I often tell them that there’s only one boy in the world that they call brother…. But I also see that they are totally different kids. One loves cats and the other loves dogs. One played with trains and the other with cars. One goes to the left and the other turns right. And I think that they wouldn’t have become friends if they were only classmates. But I love them. Both. My child that loves cats and my child that loves dogs. My child that played with trains and my child that played with cars. My child that askes me to walk to the left with him and my child that wants me to turn to the right with me. So when I see them like this. Together. It makes me happy. And I just have to take a picture! And boys: can I have more moments like these please???

Max. My sketch for this month. You can make it even with some leftovers but I like the effect of the squares. I painted the background using a “lino-roller” like CĂ©line Navarro did. Behind the picture is a hidden journaling about Max always asking me if he can play with clay when he visits us. My answer is always no because I don’t like playing with clay…. To make up with him I bought some play-doh when we visited Maggie and Max in Zeeland. And I must admit that it was fun and Max’ happiness contagious!

I thought that this paper was perfect for the wedding picture of my grandparents. Look at the dark shoes my grandma is wearing! The little picture is a copy of their wedding document. I added some paper ribbon, a few flowers and antique lace that I’ve got from my aunt.

Do you see an ANGEL or a BAD BOY? As soon as I saw these pocket tags from ColorsConspiracy I knew what kind of layout I wanted to make…. These pictures were taken at the 65th birthday party of my mother. We went to the Zoo in Arnhem and grandma promised to buy a stuffed animal for her 4 grandsons. Thomas wanted this meerkat so badly that he almost couldn’t wait and ask over and over again when we were going to buy his presents. Really annoying…. But look at the big picture, he was so happy when he finally got it that he even posed in front of the space where the meerkats lived!
So the evenement, officiel and confidentiel tags were perfect to tell this story!!

All stuff from this great May kit!! I only added two pieces of wallpaper ;) Corinne Delis took these pictures at her Scrap-a-Licious workshop. Great pictures for the imagination/inspiration/art/emotion paper. All words that are about scrapping!!! And the journaling says: I loved every minute of this day!!

I handcutted the little bird from the transparency (the part with the swirls) and painted it. I also added some accent thickers to make a "nest".
So now I'm off to Utrecht to see Dirty Dancing with my mom!

Wat weer een schitterende layouts. De kleuren van de trouwpagina en de kaart zijn fantastisch en de layout van je zoons kon een plaatje van die van mij zijn. Leuk om te zien.
