I had a wonderful happy childhood! I was loved by my parents and they told me that I was a sweet, creative, easy going and modest child. But believe me: I wasn't that modest and unselfish at all, as my childhood wish was to have my own Barbapapa. And if you know this wonderful pink creature who could form his body into any shape (any shape!) you understand that I wanted to have it all. Oh just IMAGINE how I would have been the happiest girl alive! Playing all day long...

I just love this inspiring site and even more now our own Revlie has joined the DT!!! Congrats girl!!

We planned a fun weekend. Tonight Tim has his first schoolclass-party and will be the DJ. Saturday we'll have dinner with our neighbours at a Halloween restaurant and on Sunday we'll celebrate Tonie's birthday with a afternoon tea. So I'll spend a lot of time in my kitchen baking muffins and making sandwiches.

Ready for some pictures?

I mean: a lot of pictures as I still didn't find time to upload my blog last week. So I just have to overload you with all the pictures of my kit work ;)
We had a busy week. My friend Barbara came over on Monday. She'll develop a new site for Aqua, the business of Antonie. She started her own business called textPRenzo for copywriting, translations, design etc. You might have seen her layouts on Scrap-Club (barb69). You can find her site here. And of course we ended talking about scrapbooking ;)
On Tuesday we had a "praat-kijk-avond" at Thomas' school. We could see everything he's working on at the moment and have a little talk with his teacher "juf Hannie". So good to hear that he's doing just fine! He's in group 6 now and that means that he has to make homework, hahaha. He's not so happy with that! But for his first test: topography of the province of Friesland he scored an 11. Hehe! Not a 10 but an 11! Clever boy, now he knows why he has to do his homework ;)
Wednesday I had to do some shopping and make homework as I had to know the Greek alphabet. Let me tell you: it's difficult and confusing. Our letter r is spelled as a p, our letter m is spelled as u and the shapes of some letters are so difficult that I tried over and over to make to right swirls. But it's fun and I love the stories that go with this course. (I didn't love the grammar.)
The next day Tim took 5 of his classmates home to discuss the party they are organizing for Halloween. (= a lot of discussion and a few decisions, whahaha) Then our hairdresser came over to give everybody a haircut. Which was becoming quite a necessity.... And I had to see part 2 of House. Love that series!! And yes, I needed the tissues too.
So by the time it was Friday I did my groceries, waved my boys goodbye, prepared a quick dinner and I found myself in the chair watching the DVD of Maid of Honour with Patrick Dempsey. That movie was just right after this week!
The weekend was filled with fun visits and a lot (I mean A LOT) laundry.
I started to work on a scrapbook for the adorable babygirl of my nephew and niece. My niece became very very ill after giving birth to Lisa and she has a long way to go before she´ll feel good again. My aunt took (and takes) care a lot of her granddaughter and as she always gives me the most beautiful old stuff I promised her to help with a special baby album (with space to journal.) Also I have to think what to make for my parents. They´ll celebrate their 45th weddingday in November so I have to come up with something nice real soon. Any tips?
But here are (finally) my pictures of the November kit of Scrap-Club. I had a blast with this gorgeous kit filled with Fancy Pants papers and yummie goodies!! Really one of my favorite kits so far!!!

Sneakies

I'm still not feeling well. I don't like this virus/flue or "whatsoever" anymore... We planned to visit the Water museum in Arnhem today as the boys have their Autumn vacation this week but even they have a headache. The one thing that makes me happy is the new GORGEOUS kit from Scrap-Club. I even ordered the Daily Grind collection pack too. Here are my sneakies:

Op mijn werk verzorgen mijn collega's en ik sinds deze zomer de administratie van het Moeder&kindhuis. Een speciaal project van Rentray. Hieronder de informatie van de site:

Het programma Moeder&Kindhuis is bedoeld voor jonge (aanstaande) moeders tussen de 14 en 23 jaar, die ernstige gedragsproblemen hebben en niet of onvoldoende voor hun kind kunnen zorgen. Het Moeder&Kindhuis in Zutphen biedt hen een veilige en motiverende leefomgeving en de ondersteuning die ze nodig hebben. Een plek waar ze leren hun kind op te voeden, hun leven weer op de rit kunnen krijgen en voor zichzelf én hun kind een positieve toekomst kunnen opbouwen. Het uiteindelijke doel van het programma is dat de jonge moeders op een verantwoorde en veilige manier samen met hun kind zo zelfstandig mogelijk weer ergens anders gaan wonen. In de meeste gevallen met passende begeleiding en sturing.
Sommige jonge (aanstaande) moeders die we opvangen, hebben behalve gedragsproblemen ook een lichte verstandelijke handicap of psychiatrische stoornissen. Voor de meesten geldt dat ze leven onder minder gunstige omstandigheden, niet werken en geen sociaal netwerk hebben. Vaak is de vader van het kind buiten beeld en is de financiële situatie niet op orde. Er is bijvoorbeeld geen kinderbijslag of huursubsidie aangevraagd, waardoor het voor de moeders moeilijk is om zichzelf staande te houden. Alle basisvoorwaarden om een kind goed op te kunnen voeden, ontbreken. Omdat uit onderzoek blijkt dat kinderen van jonge moeders met problemen ook zélf gedragsproblemen ontwikkelen, wil Rentray via het Moeder&Kindhuis proberen deze cirkel te doorbreken.

Geen makkelijke start voor deze meiden en hun baby's. En een heel groot verschil met de manier waarop en de omstandigheden waarin ikzelf en mijn collega's moeder werden. Als er een baby is geboren sturen wij een kaartje. Als hart onder de riem. En daarom zullen er regelmatig geboortekaartjes op mijn blog te zien zijn.

De laatste tijd

Ik heb weinig gescrapt de laatste tijd. Eigenlijk voelde ik mij slecht. Na een griepje dat wel mee leek te vallen werd ik telkens duizelig. De dokter kon niets vinden en mijn bloeduitslagen waren goed. Rustig aan doen, was het advies. En tja, dat valt niet mee. Scrappen doe ik namelijk bij voorkeur ´s avonds (lees laat...). Dus heb ik rustiger aan gedaan en ben ik braaf op tijd naar bed gegaan. Nou ja, echt rustig is het hier nooit ;) We hebben, na een flinke speurtocht, een nieuwe(re) auto gekocht, een VW Touran waar we erg blij mee zijn. De schutting in de achtertuin is eindelijk gerepareerd en de planten zijn teruggeplant. Hopelijk staat alles nu op een logische plek want afgelopen zomer kwam ik er achter dat ik echt geen groene vingers heb èn een slecht geheugen. De planten die ik in het voorjaar had gepoot bleken namelijk tussen de najaarbloeiers te staan.... Ik ben begonnen met een introductiecursus Grieks bij Tim op school. Thomas heeft een podiumoptreden gehad met zijn klas. We hadden een informatieavond over groep 6 en een gesprek met de mentor van Tim. En tussendoor moesten we nog naar de podoloog en de kat van de buren verzorgen. Geen sprake van verveling dus!

Ik vind het heerlijk om in huis te rommelen en nu de herfst er aan komt kan ik enorm genieten van een echt herfstboeket.

Op Scrap-Club blog heb ik dit weekend een item geplaatst over het aanpassen van de achtergrond van deze foto.

En ik heb een geboortekaartje gemaakt, geïnspireerd door Nancy. De kaartenkoningin van Nederland!

En tot slot een layout, van mijn neefje Thijs, die ik nog niet eerder heb laten zien.
